Bowman Fire Department The BVFD is an all volunteer department which strives to provide the highest level of service possible to the citizens, businesses, and visitors of Bowman.

Our firefighters are committed to providing the highest quality of emergency and non-emergency response. We spend a great deal of time training, maintaining our equipment, and fund raising for new equipment to ensure the services we provide are the best they can be.

Come join us for breakfast on Sunday, October 18th. We will be hosting our annual Pancake and sausage fundraiser.

Today, the Bowman Fire Department pauses to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders who answered the call.

343 FDNY firefighters made the ultimate sacrifice that day. They climbed the stairs while others were coming down. They entered buildings knowing the danger, driven by their duty to protect and serve others.

As firefighters, we carry their legacy with us. Their courage, selflessness, brotherhood, and commitment to service continue to inspire fire departments across the country. From the largest cities to rural communities like ours here in North Dakota.

The Bowman Fire Department has been awarded $500,000 through the North Dakota Rural Catalyst Grant Program to support construction of a new regional fire facility at the Crossroads Business Park.

This award reflects strong county-wide collaboration. Bowman County, the City of Bowman, regional partners, and the Fire Department worked together to advance this as a unified priority project for our region.

Bowman County Development Corporation was honored to assist with the grant application, coordination effort, and continued project administration moving forward.

This investment strengthens public safety infrastructure and supports the long-term stability and growth of Bowman County.

Thank you to everyone who contributed time, commitment, and leadership to make this happen.
