📣WHEELS OF HARMONY - MEET THE ARTISTS!

Garrett Abel (tenor-sopranist) - Cherokee

Hi! I’m Garrett Abel, a countertenor from Tahlequah, Oklahoma. One of my favorite experiences as a performer was traveling to Hawaiʻi to sing Marcellina in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro. I got into music because I’ve always loved singing, but what really keeps me coming back is getting to tell stories and connect with people through music. I especially love that singing has given me opportunities to meet people, travel, and share the music and culture that are important to me. It’s what makes me happiest!

O MAN GREATLY BELOVED: A concert honoring 250 years of service. 🇺🇸

Join Opera Montana`s Veterans Chorus, Second String Orchestra, and a Community Choir for this one night only event.

This concert is conducted by Logan Henke and Matthew Makeever.

Admission is donation-based with a suggested donation of $20 and all proceeds benefit the American Legion Gallatin Post 14.

Kate Morton (mezzo-soprano) Cherokee

My name is Kate Morton and I am a Mezzo-Soprano from the Cherokee Nation in Tahlequah, Oklahoma! One accolade I want kids to know is I LOVE to do crossover work: I find a lot of artistic fulfillment performing in both operas and musicals! I got into music because I love this vehicle for storytelling and I was in awe of an opera singer.

We are elated to introduce our first-ever Marketing Director, Serena Dublois!📸

Originally from small town Vermont, Serena moved to Bozeman to pursue a marketing degree at Montana State University. From her time studying in Bozeman, she fell in love with the town and decided to stay upon graduation.

Serena grew up with a deep passion for the arts; she did classical ballet for 17 years, and danced, sang, and acted throughout all of high school.

She’s excited to combine her background in digital marketing and love for the arts to support Opera Montana’s mission.

Outside of work, Serena spends her time hiking or fly fishing, and spending time with her loyal kitty companion, Precious.

Serena will officially join the staff on Monday, October 26.

Please join us in giving her a warm welcome as the newest member of the Opera Montana team! 🎉

As we celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Opera Montana is honored to recognize and uplift the rich traditions, voices, and artistry of Indigenous communities.

In that spirit, we’re thrilled to announce the return of our Wheels of Harmony tour, running October 25 – November 13 across schools throughout Montana.

Wheels of Harmony, Opera Montana’s educational tour of 3 Indigenous artists sharing Indigenous culture and music along with traditional opera and musical theatre, will be performing at FOUR FREE public performances this fall:
