We absolutely adore a good celebration, but we’d much rather see you at our community BBQ than rushing to the ambulance! 🚑💨
Let’s get real—those sparklers burn at a scorching 2,000°F. That’s hot enough to melt glass, whip up a cake in seconds, or completely ruin that eyebrow you spent 20 minutes perfecting! 🤨
To keep the excitement in the sky and out of the ER, here are a few must-follow safety tips from your friendly neighborhood firefighters, with a little help from our pals at FEMA:
💧 Water is your best friend: Always have a bucket of water or a garden hose nearby. And treat “dud” fireworks like last year’s trends—do NOT attempt to relight them! Let them cool, then douse them.
📏 Back it up: Give fireworks plenty of space. If you can catch a whiff of Uncle Bob’s singed hair, you’re way too close!
👀 Adult supervision required: “Adulting” means keeping an eye on the kids, not competing to see who can hold a sparkler the longest.
🎇 Leave it to the pros: Honestly, the best view is at the local fireworks show anyway—and no clean-up for you!
Let’s keep Hyalite safe and sparkling this year. Have a blast, stay safe, and remember: sparklers are not for Fido—he doesn’t have opposable thumbs! 🐾
