MacDill AFB is now at FPCON CHARLIE. This posture allows us to implement deliberate security measures proactively. All personnel should remain vigilant, follow the direction of security forces, and report any suspicious activity immediately. Everyone plays a role in base defense – if you see something, say something. Report suspicious activity to the base defense operations center at 813-828-3322.

Please be patient as we expect delays and heavier than normal gate traffic.

We appreciate your cooperation as we prioritize the safety and security of our installation.

Direct questions to the 6 ARW public affairs office at 813-828-2217 or [email protected].

The crew of Coast Guard Cutter Tampa recently demonstrated the immense value of a modern, forward-deployed force while executing their mission to control, secure, and defend our nation’s maritime approaches. Patrolling the Eastern Pacific as part of Operation Pacific Viper, they successfully interdicted a smuggling vessel, seizing 1,925 kilograms of drugs valued at over $31.9 million.

Since launching Operation Pacific Viper in early August, we’ve interdicted over 200,000 pounds of co***ne along routes from South and Central America. This mission is a powerful example of how our maritime fighting force is actively scouring drug smuggling routes, dismantling narco-terrorism networks, and stopping deadly narcotics before they can reach U.S. shores. It’s a testament to the character and competence of our highly-skilled workforce, who take on immense responsibility to protect the Homeland.

Will you please support the US Coast Guard?

Due to Congressional budget fights, the federal budget that supports US Coast Guard personnel has not been passed, and this means that the Coasties are not getting paid.

I am asking you to make a donation the Suncoast Chief Petty Officer Assocoation where 100% of your donation will go to direct support for Coast Guardsmen and women, and their families, who might be suffering financially.

Let's please support those who are always ready to sacrifice.

Thank you and Semper Paratus!
