The Ladies Auxiliary of the Bradley Beach Fire Department, Inc., in partnership with the Bradley Beach Rec Center, is thrilled to announce a special holiday event: "Jingle Bell Bingo Night."

Set for Saturday, November 14th, this festive evening promises a fun-filled alternative to traditional holiday gatherings. The event is 18-and-older and perfect for adults looking to enjoy a lively night out with friends and neighbors.

Tickets are priced at $15 per person, which includes entry to the event and bingo cards for the night's games. Adding to the excitement, a 50/50 raffle will be held throughout the evening, offering participants a chance to win cash prizes.

Our Hero, John Zech. His motto is always “in service to the community “

Our next Hometown Hero is Bradley Beach resident John Zech. Captain Zech has been serving the residents and guests of Bradley Beach for over 48 years by providing fire and medical protection to his community. During his career, Captain Zech has used his leadership and technical skills to promote the value of the professional services provided by the volunteers of Monmouth County. Congratulations, Captain Zech.

Wave to Smokey!!!

Wave to Smokey Bear as he flies along the Jersey Shore aboard a New Jersey Forest Fire Service helicopter on Sunday, Aug. 9, to celebrate his 82nd birthday.

Flying low over the ocean in one of the Forest Fire Service's Bell UH-1 Iroquois "Huey" helicopters, Smokey Bear will wave to beachgoers from Wildwood Crest to Asbury Park. A banner plane displaying a "Happy Birthday, Smokey Bear" message will lead the flight.

The flight is scheduled to start over Wildwood Crest at approximately 1:45 p.m. and travel north along the coast.

The birthday flight is made possible through a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Forest Service. In the event of inclement weather, the flight will be rescheduled for Sunday, Aug. 16.

For nearly a century, Smokey Bear has inspired generations of Americans to help prevent wildfires with his timeless message: “Only you can prevent wildfires.”

Next Saturday! BBFD engines will be out collecting for the Annual Pantry Pickup. Please have donations well marked.

June 6th is the annual Pantry Pick Up in Bradley Beach tp benefit the Bradley Food Pantry, sponsored by the Bradley Beach Business & Community Alliance (BBBCA).

Place your donated items in a bag outside by 9:00 AM for pickup! See the flyer for additional details or contact the BBBCA.

BBBCA, along with the Bradley Beach Fire Department and First Aid Squads, will drive through Bradley Beach to collect items for Bradley Food Pantry!
