The Crow Wing County Safe Roads for All Plan takes a closer look at roadway safety across our area, using local data and interactive maps to help identify trends, areas of concern and potential safety improvements.

It’s worth a look — especially when you realize these aren’t just dots on a map. They represent roads we travel every day, communities we call home and people we care about.

Enhancing safety across all of the Brainerd Lakes Area! 🚨🌧️

We're excited to share that a new Climavision weather radar was installed today in the City of Brainerd. By filling low-level radar gaps that previous systems missed, this technology gives us improved visibility into incoming storms and severe weather.

This is a great public/private partnership focused on public safety.

Safer community starts with better data! 🌤️🙌

Twenty-five years ago today, our nation changed forever.

On this solemn 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, the Brainerd Fire Department joins communities across the nation in honoring all the lives lost—including the 343 firefighters who rushed into danger without hesitation and made the ultimate sacrifice.

A quarter of a century has passed, but our pledge remains unwavering: We Will Never Forget.

We carry forward the memory of their courage, selflessness, and dedication to duty. Today, we remember the fallen, honor the survivors, stand with the families, and reaffirm our solemn promise to keep their service alive in our hearts, always.
