We had some very special visitors today! The little ones from Bramwell Presbyterian Nursery Garten stopped by the fire department to learn all about Fire Prevention Week! 🧑🏼‍🚒❤️

Our little firefighters got to:
🎒 Receive their own goodie bags
🧑🏼‍🚒 Dress up in fire department gear
🚒 Climb aboard and ride in the fire trucks
🪓 Get a closer look at some of our firefighting equipment
🔥 Learn some important fire safety tips

We absolutely loved having these little future firefighters visit us! Their excitement, curiosity, and smiles made our day. ❤️

A huge thank you to Bramwell Presbyterian Nursery Garten for bringing them by and allowing us to spend some time teaching the next generation about fire safety!

Some buildings are just buildings.

This one isn’t.

For generations, Yukon Pentecostal Holiness Church has been a place where children found family, where people found hope, and where neighbors took care of one another when there was nowhere else to turn.

It has kept families warm through hard winters, fed hungry people, welcomed those who felt forgotten. It has celebrated weddings, mourned loved ones, prayed over broken hearts, and watched countless children race up and down the same ramp that now desperately needs repaired… Those little footprints became generations.

Now, after decades of giving to others, the church needs our help.
Time, weather, floods, and years of faithful service have taken their toll. The entrance ramp and steps have become a serious safety concern and without repairs, the future of this church is uncertain.

In one of the poorest counties in West Virginia, there isn’t a wealthy donor waiting in the wings. There isn’t a corporation writing a check…

There are only ordinary people who believe that places like this still matter. So there will be a fundraising BBQ dinner on 07/10 THIS FRIDAY AT 10AM but the orders need to be placed before the 9th so they will know how much to prepare. If theres any left over on the day of, you may be able to request a plate for $7.00.

Every penny of each dinner sold helps fund repairs so this church can continue serving future generations.

If you can’t purchase a dinner but still feel led to help, donations of any amount are deeply appreciated. You can drop off donations at Outlaws and Saints Tattoo Company (1900 Coal Heritage Road Bluefield, WV)

You can also make a donation by sending it to the Volunteer Stewardship Coordinator, Jessi
CashApp: $jessi01212016

Whether you can give $1, share this post, purchase one dinner, or purchase ten, every act of kindness moves this project one step closer to completion.

If this church ever loved you…
If someone you know found peace here…
If you’ve ever been shown grace when you didn’t feel like you deserved it…
If you believe every child deserves a safe place to belong…

Please help us preserve that legacy.

Thank you to everyone who chooses to make a difference.
