Meade County Planning & Zoning Commission Regular Meeting Scheduled for October 15, 2026

The Meade County Planning & Zoning Commission will hold its Regular Meeting on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. ET at the Meade County Courthouse, 516 Hillcrest Drive, Brandenburg, Kentucky.

The Commission will conduct public hearings, and action may be taken on the following matters:

Old Business

• 2026R-117: Hager requests rezoning from A2 to R1 at 1110 Milan Road, Payneville, KY 40157. PVA parcel: 075-00-00-014.05.

New Business

• 2026R-118: Harrington requests rezoning from R1 to B1 at 1110 Bethel Church Road, Brandenburg, KY 40108. PVA parcel: 123-00-00-044.00.

• 2026R-119: Smith requests rezoning from R1 to R4 for Lot #15 on Coffman Lane, Vine Grove, KY 40175. PVA parcel: 160-00-00-006.00.

• 2026R-120: Grant requests rezoning from B1 to R4 at 25 Grant Lane, Brandenburg, KY 40108. PVA parcel: 124-20-00-088.00.

• Knoxville Subdivision: Consideration of a Preliminary Major Subdivision Plat involving 11 lots from the Whitten Plat(s), located off Fort Avenue near Lee Road. PVA parcel: 158-00-00-123.00.

Additional agenda items include approval of the August 20, 2026, Regular Meeting minutes and September 10, 2026, Special Meeting minutes, discussion of the next work session date and time, and a public session for matters not subject to public hearing.

Home for the Holidays: Urgent Adoption Appeal for Older Dogs

The Meade County Animal Shelter has reached maximum capacity for dogs, with adult dogs in especially urgent need of loving homes.

These wonderful dogs have plenty of love, loyalty, and companionship to give. Many are simply waiting for someone to look beyond their age and give them the safe, comfortable home they deserve.
To help these lovable dogs find homes for the holidays, the shelter is offering 50% off adoption fees for fully vetted dogs. The discounted adoption fee is only $45 for all adult dogs over the age of 6 months.
If you have room in your home and heart, please consider adopting an adult dog. If adoption is not possible, you can still help by sharing this notice and introducing these deserving dogs to more potential families.
