Brandon is located in Central Minnesota Lake Country in Douglas County, 16 miles from Alexandria. The City of Brandon offers a K-12 School, Early Childhood Education , Gas and Convenience, Grocery Store, Building Supply Store, Restaurants, Telephone & Communications and large employment opportunity. We are the home of the Brandon Auditorium which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1935, it represents some of the most creative WPA era architecture in Minnesota. Our Economic Development Authority has assisted in the inception and growth of many local businesses and housing devoplments. There is room for growth with lots available. We have a very active Community Club that sponsors our Annual Summerfest event and many other activities through out the year. Water is back on!!
It is a suggested that you run your faucet or possibly an outside water spigot until water runs clear - the water is safe it just may appear dirty at first use

The City of Brandon is currently experiencing an electrical issue resulting in a water outage for all residents.
We have been working to identify the problem and have people enroute to correct the issue.
Hopefully it will be restored between noon and 1pm.

City Burn Site Update
With the recent storms, the city left the burn site open during daytime hours last week to help accommodate residents in debris clean up.
Please note we have now resumed normal operations and the site MUST BE LOCKED even between loads. We realize this is not very convenient when doing yard clean up but it is a requirement and is clearly noted at the site.
As a reminder:
The site is for clean up of properties located in city limits only
The site MUST be locked at all times (even between loads)
Keys for the site are not to be shared
The site is for grass, brush, trees and logs cut into 8'x6" or smaller sections only.
We have noticed several loads of reeds and lake debris at the burn site as well as other items that are not allowed to be dumped out there.
As key holders and residents of Brandon, please help us monitor this site and if you are aware of any unauthorized use, bring it to our attention or simply make others aware.
We need to work together to assure we have continued use of this site as if unauthorize or prohibited use continues, the site will be closed.
