One of the four divisions of the United States Coast Guard and the only uniformed volunteer organization authorized by an act of Congress. The Auxiliary has units in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and Guam. Department of Homeland Security via the Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard, the Auxiliary's internally operating levels are broken down into four organizational levels: Flotilla, Division, District and National.

We’re kicking off National Safe Boating Week with Wear Your Life Jacket to Work Day. Did you know that in 2018, 100% of paddle craft fatalities in the Northeast involved people who were not wearing a life jacket? We want everyone to have a safe and fun time out on the water. Always wear a life jacket! Once you are in the water, it is almost impossible to put it on.
