The Indian Neck Pine Orchard volunteer fire company operates under the Branford Fire Department and primarily serves the Indian Neck, Pine Orchard, and Pawson Park areas. Emergency Burn Ban in Effect
All Open Burning is Strictly Prohibited in the Town of Branford until further notice
Due to extremely high fire danger in our area, ALL open burning is strictly prohibited in Branford including all State parks, forest and wildlife management areas (even if you previously applied for or have an Open Burning Permit through the Fire Marshal's Office)
This includes leaf burning, the use of fire pits and outdoor grilling - no open flames of any kind outdoors. Please exercise extreme caution, especially when disposing of smoking materials outdoors.
Open Burning Permits will not be issued until the fire danger risk is reduced to Medium or Low risk conditions. Please note that today’s forest fire danger report remains at a Very High level:
