❤️‍🩹 Training Today = Better Prepared Tomorrow! ❤️‍🩹

Our Training & Quality Assurance Supervisor, who is also one of our CPR instructors, has been hard at work with some of our trainees and released dispatchers getting hands-on with CPR training! 🫀🙌

From learning proper chest compressions to practicing the skills needed during a cardiac emergency, our dispatchers train to be ready when our community needs us most. 📞🚑

💡 CPR Fact: For every minute that a person experiencing cardiac arrest goes without CPR, their chance of survival can decrease by approximately 10%. Starting CPR quickly can make a huge difference!

And remember—you don’t have to be a medical professional to help. If you witness someone collapse and they aren’t breathing normally, call 911 and follow the dispatcher’s instructions. Our telecommunicators can provide CPR instructions over the phone while help is on the way. ❤️

At Stone County 911, we’re always learning, practicing, and improving because being prepared means being ready to better serve our community when seconds matter.

📞 Train. Prepare. Respond. Serve.

📞 A Special Visitor at the 911 Center! 📞

We had a very special visitor stop by the 911 Center today — Larry! 👋

Larry was an employee here toward the very beginning of our agency’s history, and we were excited to welcome him back and show him how much things have changed over the years.

Each of our 911 operators has a unique operator number, and Larry’s was #19! 😲 Today, we’re up to #211!

While much of the center still looked familiar to Larry, he got to see many of the upgrades, technology, and changes that have taken place over the years. He also spent time visiting with several of our dispatchers and sharing stories about how things were done more than 20 years ago. It was pretty neat getting a glimpse into the history of our center from someone who was actually here for it!

Larry, thank you for stopping by, sharing your stories, and giving us some insight into where we came from. We loved having you visit and hope you’ll come back anytime! ❤️📻🚔🚒🚑

Once a dispatcher, always part of the 911 family! 💙

Our team is having an incredible time representing Stone County Emergency Services at the APCO 2026 Conference in San Antonio, Texas!

Between educational classes, our dispatchers have had the opportunity to connect with vendors from across the industry, network with fellow public safety professionals, and build valuable relationships with agencies from all over the country. They’ve also enjoyed exciting K-9 demonstrations, participated in fun vendor activities and games, and even took time to donate blood—another meaningful way our dispatchers continue to help save lives, both on and off the console.

The APCO Conference is a fantastic opportunity to learn, grow, and bring back new ideas that will help us better serve our community. We’re proud of our team for taking advantage of every opportunity to expand their knowledge while also having a little fun along the way.

We can’t wait to bring what we’ve learned back home to Stone County!

A huge thank you to CoxHealth for generously providing meals for our dispatch team today!

Your support and appreciation mean so much to our telecommunicators, who work around the clock serving our community. Gestures like this remind our team that the work they do is recognized and valued.

Thank you for your generosity and for supporting the people behind the headset. We truly appreciate you!
