Great decision from Mayor Pro Temp Chad Ingram. I fully support his leadership on this. At a time when every family is battling affordability, the first who should do more with less should be our governments.

Very appreciative to get this recognition at the same meeting where City of Kingsland, Georgia, fully rolled back their mileage rate! I can’t think of a better example of what pragmatic conservative local governing can do.

Thank you, Governor Brian Kemp, for leading the effort to bring relief to Georgia families. Mike Hodges for State Senate District 3 is the definition of a statesman. He has spent years serving our area  in both private and public capacities of trust. His leadership as Governor Brian Kemp’s Senate floor leader and now as chairman of the Senate Committee on Reapportionment and Redistricting speaks to the trust he has statewide.

I’ve been privileged to work alongside Senator Hodges since he joined the Senate. We both represent Camden County and part of Glynn County, while his district reaches farther across Southeast Georgia. Even when we’ve disagreed, Mike has always been willing to listen, learn about an issue and work toward a solution.

I’m excited that Mike will keep serving. I’m praying for him and his family, and I know our community will be behind him every step of the way. We’re with you, Mike.

Learned a lot from sitting next to Chairman Bill Hitchens in the past few years on the House floor. Behind a man who never answers his phone on the first call is a dedicated public servant who has dedicated his life to making Georgia safer, so much so that he inspired Georgia's next top cop.

I’d bet if you Google the definition of Budget Hawk, you’d get Councilman Alex Blount’s bio. I join in thanking him for his years of service on council and his role in ensuring the City of Kingsland, Georgia is on an incredible financial footing. I have no doubt he will contribute in other ways of service to our area.

A longtime elected official has decided not to run for re-election. Also, there are some pretty crowded municipal races coming up in November.

An FY for MLCE school parents. Appreciate the quick response from the Camden County Sheriff's Office, Camden County, GA, the St. Marys Police Department, and Camden County Schools in implementing added safety measures to keep our youngest learners safe.
