Fire Chief Mielke and Deputy Chief Flores along with Brea Engine 1 attended the 2026 Orange County Fire Service Memorial at Irvine Regional Park, placing flowers in memory of Charles Macias, retired Fire Engineer/Paramedic, and Roy “Adrian” Ledbetter, retired Fire Captain, who passed away earlier this year.

We remember Charles and Adrian with deep respect and gratitude for their years of service, their dedication to our community, and the lasting impact they made as members of our Brea Fire Department family.

Though they are no longer with us, their service and legacy will not be forgotten. They will always hold a special place in the hearts of those who served alongside them.

When charging on a plane, keep portable charging devices on the tray table. Do not charge devices in overhead compartments and never charge e-cigarettes or vapes on a plane. If a battery overheats or fails, it is important for the flight crew to be able to respond quickly.
