Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001.

Washington County joins our nation in remembering the lives lost, honoring the first responders and heroes who answered the call, and recognizing the courage, sacrifice, and unity shown in the days that followed.

May we always remember those we lost, those who served, and the families whose lives were forever changed.

September 11, 2001 — Never Forgotten.

🔥 BURN BAN NOTICE 🔥

Effective: Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 12:00 a.m.

Effective tonight at midnight, Washington County will be under a Burn Ban until further notice.

During the burn ban, household garbage may still be burned, but it must be contained in a properly screened barrel or screened pit.

With the current hot and dry conditions, we ask everyone to use extra caution and do their part to help prevent fires from getting out of control.

Please help us spread the word by sharing this information with your friends, family, and neighbors.

Stay safe and stay aware, Washington County!
