We always love receiving thank-you notes, but even more than that, we love investing in our youth and showing our support, especially when they’re part of Brenham High School Young Life! 💚💚💚💚

This is such an important time in their lives, and showing up, encouraging them, and supporting programs that give them a positive place to belong means so much.

And there’s nothing quite like watching a fun “Color War” turn into a full-on colorful bath😆😆😆… courtesy of yours truly, the Brenham Fire Department! 🚒💦

We’re always happy to support our kids, our community, and organizations like Brenham Young Life that are making a difference.✝️💚🚒

Yesterday, we spent the morning at First Baptist School with a group of smart and talented first graders! They had the opportunity to tour the fire truck, check out some of the equipment, and ask our A-Shift firefighters lots of great questions about their profession.

We loved their curiosity and enthusiasm……who knows, we may have been helping inspire a few future firefighters! 🚒🔥

October is Fire Prevention Month! 🔥

Our calendar is full, and you’ll be seeing the Brenham Fire Department out and about quite a bit this month!

We’ll be visiting schools throughout the community with our famous Fire Prevention Skit and our well-known clowns, entertaining the kids while also teaching them important fire safety lessons in a fun and memorable way.

You’ll also find us at several public and community events throughout the month as we continue sharing important fire prevention messages with families of all ages.

Our goal is for the kids to have fun, remember what they learn, and most importantly, understand how important it is to practice these safety measures at home.

We’re looking forward to a busy and exciting Fire Prevention Month and hopefully some cool fall weather to make it more enjoyable for all of us!🚒🍁🍂

Congratulations to the Montgomery Lady Oilers 8U softball team on placing 5th in the Brenham Cowgirl Classic Softball Tournament this past weekend at Hohlt Park!

We had a special connection to this team, as one of the players is Firefighter Mason White’s little sister! After their game, the girls wanted to check out our fire truck and snap a group picture with our B-Shift crew. Of course, we were more than happy to make that happen!

One of the greatest parts of serving our community is getting to share moments like these. We are blessed to live in a community that supports us, and we love having the opportunity to return that support…..especially when it means putting smiles on these young athletes' faces!

Great job, Lady Oilers! Keep swinging for the fences! 🥎

Congratulations to our 2nd Firefighter of the Quarter, Engineer Dustin Palmore!

This award recognizes a firefighter who demonstrates outstanding leadership, dedication, and service to the community.

Dustin joined the Brenham Fire Department in January 2023 and is a senior member of Station 2 B-Shift. He continues to set a great example through his experience, commitment, and leadership both around the station and on emergency calls.

Dustin also brings plenty of humor to the fire department and keeps everyone laughing. There is never a dull moment when he’s around!

Today, Dustin was surprised with this well-deserved award, and we were thrilled to have his family join us for this special recognition! To top it all off, we cooked up a fabulous chicken-fried steak lunch to celebrate his big day!

We appreciate everything you do for the department, your crew, and the community. Well deserved, Engineer Palmore!
