Hope Force International Christian disaster relief organization. Learn how to give, pray, and get involved here ➡️ https://t.mtrbio.com/hopeforce Hope Force is a 501(c)3 organization.

We equip everyday people to care for disaster survivors worldwide, offering practical help and emotional & spiritual support. Hope Force International is committed to motivating, equipping and mobilizing followers of Jesus around the world to respond in times of crisis and chronic need, alleviating suffering and bringing hope through compassionate action. We are dedicated to providing a clear pathway for Christians, worldwide, to become leading responders to the plight of global suffering. Hope Force attempts to respond in an appropriate manner to any given disaster where the organization is involved, and all assistance is given free of charge. For instance:

In the immediate aftermath of a tornado, Hope Force will often send in teams of people who are skilled in tarping and securing damaged homes to mitigate further water damage for the homeowner. HFI also trains our Reservists to learn this skill, so that they are valuably prepared for successive disaster events. There are many in the HFI ranks who have learned to properly tarp a wind-damaged home according to FEMA standards. In the aftermath of a hurricane where flooding is involved -- such as Hurricane Sandy -- Hope Force teams will muck out homes and help homeowners properly deal with their belongings. HFI teams will often be involved in tarping damaged roofs to mitigate further damage after a hurricane as well. After an earthquake, such as the Haiti earthquake of 2010 where HFI is still involved in recovery, Hope Force sent in orthopaedic surgical teams to perform life and limb-saving surgeries. As well, a medical team of 19 was deployed to the epicenter of the earthquake where they set up a field hospital, treating 3,000 in one week alone. Currently, Hope Force is involved in restoring a village near the earthquake's epicenter which lost 90% of its housing. HFI is rebuilding homes, offering community health education and medical assistance, and has an ongoing food assistance program for the children of the village. Having lost so much, the desire is to give a "hand up" to this community to help them back on their feet. After the great tsunami of 2004, Hope Force sent orthopaedic teams to Sri Lanka to help survivors who sustained traumatic injury due to the violent impact of the tsunami waves. In each one of our disaster responses, Hope Force sends in highly trained chaplains who are skilled as emotional and spiritual caregivers. Beyond our chaplains, all Hope Force responders (called "Reservists") receive teaching on the grief and trauma curve, and understand how to come alongside people in an appropriate manner -- no matter the responder's job assignment. It is our heartfelt desire that all understand that everyone is needed, and there is a place for you! If you would like to know more about joining our ranks, please contact us at [email protected] -- or even right here on Facebook. We will be happy to welcome you into our ranks!

On June 24, twin earthquakes tore through Venezuela, and in a matter of moments, entire neighborhoods were gone. Months later, countless families are still waiting for a safe place to call home. 💔

In San Esteban, one of the hardest-hit areas, Hope Force has partnered with local churches to rebuild, one family at a time.

In this video, you’ll meet Melisa and her children as our ministry partner, Pastor Sergio, helps unload the materials for their new home. For this family, it’s the first sign that the ground beneath them is becoming solid again. 🏠

Melisa’s home is the first of 15 we’re working to build. Each one costs $6,000 in materials, and each one means a family can stop living in survival mode and start rebuilding their future.

Will you help us get the next family home? 🙏

"Thank you for helping to save my home."

Eight words from Mrs. Irene that we're still carrying with us.

She lost her husband. Then a flood damaged her home. Then a contractor left her roof off long enough for rain to pour through the inside. At 85, she's still standing, full of mountain grit, deep faith, and a laugh you don't forget.

This summer, a team of Hope Force Reservists spent a week alongside her in War, West Virginia. Somewhere between a new laundry room and bathroom, a restored garden, and two wooden silhouettes of her parents tucked away in an old outbuilding, she gave us far more than we gave her.

The headlines have faded. The need for hope has not. ❤️

In January 2025, the Eaton Fire destroyed more than 5,000 homes in Altadena, California. More than a year later, families are still facing the overwhelming challenge of rebuilding their homes and lives.

This November 15–21, Hope Force is returning to Altadena, and you can help bring hope home.

Working alongside Hope Crisis Response Network, our team will help build three homes and make critical repairs to others damaged by the fire.

🏠 OUR GOAL: Raise $10,000 to help families rebuild.

Your gift will help provide the materials, tools, and resources needed to put our team to work.

The fires may be over, but these families have not been forgotten.

“God is good, and He always brings people into your path that can help you.” 💙

Meet Ms. Linda, a retired schoolteacher and longtime Pensacola resident whom our Reservists had the privilege of serving this week.

Hurricane Isaias tore shingles off two areas of her roof and knocked down part of her fence. Our team climbed up and covered the damaged spots to protect her home from more damage. While we were packing up, we took a few extra minutes to put her fence back together too.

Storm recovery is more than repairs. It’s about showing up for our neighbors. Ms. Linda, it was a joy to serve you! 🙌

Meet Paul Shibley, Hope Force Reservist 💪

Paul traveled all the way from Los Angeles to Pensacola to spend a week serving families hit by Hurricane Isaias. He’s been busy installing tarps on roofs and calling folks on the phone who’ve asked for help, so our team knows exactly where to go next.

Paul, we’re so grateful for you! 💙 And to our team in Pensacola and everyone who has given and prayed for this response: thank you helping us bring hope to so many. This is Hope in Action!

A tarp can keep the rain out, but after a disaster, people need more than a dry roof. They need someone to sit with them, listen, and remind them they’re not alone.

That’s why every Hope Force Reservist is trained in the Ministry of Presence and Emotional and Spiritual Care. 🙏

After our team tarped Mr. and Mrs. Foster’s roof today, they came inside, listened to their story, and prayed with them for God to keep providing as they recover.

The road ahead is still long - ceiling repairs, electrical box needs fixing, and other work to do before their home is safe again. But they don’t have to carry it alone.

When you give to this Hurricane Isaias response, you help us keep showing up for families such as the Fosters, with practical help and real hope. Donate at the link in bio. 💙

After Hurricane Isaias, Tomi was left with a damaged roof and a home full of family and animals depending on her to keep them safe. Then, God led Hope Force to her home.

Reservist Gail Alan and the crew tarped Tomi’s roof. When the work was done, Gail sat with her on the back porch, and Tomi summed it up simply:

“God just sent me angels.”

Tomi said she’d seen what a tarp costs at the hardware store (about $120, not including installation tools), and she couldn’t believe this help came free. For a family already in such a challenging time, that matters.

We want to keep saying yes to families such as Tomi’s, but we need your help. 💙

We have nearly 70 requests around Pensacola that we are assessing, and we need donations so we help as many people as possible.

Your gift keeps our team stocked with tarps, nail guns, and everything we need to keep serving Pensacola. Give to the Hurricane Isaias response at the link in our bio!
