Celebrate the Mountain Monarch Festival at Gorges State Park, Saturday October 3 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, and walk on the StoryWalk. The new book "Caterpillars: What will I be when I get to be me? A toon book" by Kevin McCloskey is a fun fact book about caterpillars and butterflies. See if you spy some on the trail. Happy Fall StoryWalking!

The 2026 Fall Concert Series concludes this Friday, September 25 with Pennsylvania-based House of Hamill. Their musical stylings can be described as upcycled Celtic folk. Whether they're ripping through a set of original jigs and reels, adding lush three-part harmonies into traditional folk ballads, or cracking up an audience with stories from the road, House of Hamill puts on a show that captivates audiences from the very first note.

Did you know there is a free yoga class every Friday morning at the library? Join us with instructor Clare Desmelik from 9:30am - 10:30am in the Amphitheater. Bring a yoga mat or towel and water, and be sure to dress in layers!

Join us at 10:30am for “Medicare 101.” Seniors’ Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) & North Carolina Cooperative Extension- Transylvania County will explain how Medicare works, the enrollment process, how to avoid penalties, and ways to save money. This program is free and open to the public.
