What an incredible day of learning, laughter, teamwork, and inspiration at our Lighthouse Afterschool Program Staff Retreat!

Our theme, reminded us that what we do is about so much more than completing tasks. It’s about showing up with purpose, leading with excellence, supporting one another, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of the youth we serve.

A HUGE THANK YOU to our amazing presenters for sharing their knowledge, creativity, and wisdom with our team! Shamain Johnson — Tonisha Cohen —David Vazquenza — Colleen Briganti

And a special thank-you to Taiwan Richardson our (Chief Energy Officer) for navigating us through the day with enthusiasm and empowerment.

Congratulations to all of our Lighthouse Beacon Awardees. Thank you for being beacons of excellence within our Lighthouse family. Keep shining!

To our Site Coordinators, thank you for the leadership, commitment, and care you bring to your sites each day. Your work is essential to creating safe, engaging, and enriching environments where our youth can thrive.

To the ENTIRE LIGHTHOUSE TEAM — YOU UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT! 🙌🏽You showed up with positive energy, open minds, and a readiness to learn, grow, and share.

A heartfelt thank-you to the Bassick High School staff for graciously hosting us.

And last, but certainly not least, a HUGE SHOUT-OUT to Mark Harp, our Youth Programs Manager — THE MAN BEHIND THE SCENES MAKING IT HAPPEN!

We are more than a program. We are a team, a village, and a light in the lives of the youth we serve.
