The FAST Rescue Solutions cadre provided subject matter expertise in FAST Board operations during a Down Firefighter and Firefighter Rescue School hosted by the City Fire Department and Fire Nuggets.

Over 50 firefighters from across California came together for two days of intensive, hands-on training focused on rapid intervention tactics, firefighter rescue, and survival.

Day one focused on the fundamentals of rapid intervention, reinforcing the basic skills and techniques necessary to locate, package, and remove a downed firefighter.

Day two pushed firefighters into realistic rescue scenarios, incorporating FAST Board operations under zero-visibility conditions, elevated temperatures, and challenging environments designed to replicate the IDLH atmosphere.

Training under realistic conditions builds confidence, reinforces teamwork, and prepares firefighters to perform when seconds matter most.
