The Pattonville Fire Protection District will soon be accepting applications to establish an employment eligibility list of qualified Paramedic/Firefighters. Because all Pattonville employees are cross trained as water rescue technicians, a swim test is included in the evaluation process and conducted on Nov. 19, 2026 at 9am. To help prospective applicants prepare for this opportunity, the District is offering four swim test practice sessions, the dates and times of which are listed below. Each session will be held at the Pattonville Senior High School Swimming Pool located at 2497 McKelvey RD, Maryland Heights, MO 63043. Pre-registration for the swim practice sessions is not required. Individuals wishing to participate in the swim test on Nov. 19th will be provided with additional information as part of the employment application process.

National Night Out 2026! 🚒🚑

Paramedic/Firefighters had a great time getting out into for National Night Out!

We loved seeing so many familiar faces and meeting new ones at all of Bridgeton’s National Night Out locations. Events like these give us the opportunity to step outside the firehouse, connect with the people we serve, and enjoy an evening together as a community.

🚒❤️ Thank you, Bridgeton, for another great National Night Out!

Today, your Pattonville Fire Protection District paramedics and firefighters, alongside Maryland Heights Police Department , kicked off Homecoming Week at Pattonville High School with a powerful docudrama for the junior and senior classes.

The docudrama simulated a drunk-driving crash, showing the devastating consequences of one person’s decision to drive impaired. In the scenario, one passenger loses their life while multiple others are seriously injured.

While the crash was simulated, the consequences are very real. Every decision behind the wheel matters.

As Homecoming Week gets underway, remember: Don’t drink and drive. Don’t get in a car with someone that is impaired. Make a plan. Get home safely.

One bad decision can change or potentially end lives.

A special THANK YOU to A & A Towing Services and Bolin Services for donating the vehicles and playing a crucial role in making this important event possible. Your support helps us deliver a powerful message to our students in the Pattonville School District. We appreciate your partnership in keeping our community safe!

🌊 Swift Water Rescue Training 🚒

Paramedic/Firefighters recently spent this week and last at Thunder River completing a Swift Water Rescue Refresher hosted by Strike Team 3.

Swift water incidents present unique and rapidly changing hazards, making continued hands-on training essential. These refresher sessions allow our members to sharpen their skills, practice rescue techniques, and stay prepared to operate safely and effectively when called upon.

We’re also proud to recognize one of our newest members for completing the Swift Water Rescue Technician Course. This training brings them up to our department standard of having all of our Paramedic/Firefighters trained in water rescue.

This morning, Paramedic/Firefighters begin the day by taking a moment to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

Today marks 25 years since a day that forever changed our nation and the fire service.

We remember the 343 FDNY firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice, along with the law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, other first responders, and civilians who lost their lives that day. We also remember those who have since lost their lives from illnesses related to their service at Ground Zero.

For those of us in the fire service, September 11 is more than a date in history. It is a reminder of courage, sacrifice, brotherhood, and the commitment to answer the call when our communities need us most.

25 years later, we still remember.

🇺🇸 Labor Day at the Firehouse 🚒

While many in are enjoying a well-deserved day off, your Paramedic/Firefighters are at the firehouse, ready to answer the call whenever we’re needed.

Labor Day is a time to recognize the hard work, dedication, and contributions of workers throughout our community and across the country. We’re proud to spend ours doing what we do every day, serving and protecting the people who call Pattonville home.

Whether you’re relaxing at home, grilling with family and friends, or enjoying the last days of summer, we hope everyone has a safe and happy Labor Day! 🇺🇸
