National Cemetery of the Alleghenies

The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies would like to say thank you to all the volunteers that came and helped with the Ave of Flags, placing flags on each grave, cleaning of headstones and the staff of the cemetery in preparation for the ceremony. Thank you to the dignitaries, and our guest speakers. Without all of the support from you this event would not have been possible. Thank you to the community for showing your support to our fallen heroes on this day of rememberance.

The Memorial Day Ceremony is Sunday May 24th at 11am in the assembly area across from the Public Information Building.

Please join the Pennsylvania Chapter of Bugles Across America (BBA) on Saturday May 16, 2026 for an Echo Taps and Trumpet Ensemble Tribute on Armed Forces Day. All capable trumpet and buglers are invited to participate. Registration will start at 9am with rehearsal begining at 930am. The opening ceremony with start at 12noon with a Cascading Echo Taps and trumpet Ensemble Performance concluding at 1pm. The general public is invited to join us for this tribute to the great Americans who have served our nation and to celbrate our Nation's 250th!

Memorial Day Ceremony preparations: Volunteers are needed for setting up and take down of the Ave of Flags. Set up will be Thursday May 21, 2026, starting at 12:30pm meeting at Shelter 1. Take will be Tuesday May 26, 2026, starting at 12:30pm meeting at Shelter 1. If you have any questions, please contact the cemetery at 724-746-4363.

Wreaths Across America clean up will be Saturday January 24th at 8:00 am.

Thank you to all the families, volunteers, and cemetery staff that braved the weather yesterday to honor our Veterans at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Big shout out to Crazy Horse Coffee for providing a warm cup of coffee for the volunteers to enjoy.

!!!! URGENT UPDATE TO PARKING FOR WAA !!!!

Updated shuttle information:

The shuttles for WAA are going from Crown Castle Parking Lot starting at 9:00am and will run until 2:00pm. Please park at the Crown Castle Carpool Lot, 1500 Corporate Drive, Canonsburg, PA 15317 on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

Please park in the 1500 Lot.

Wreaths Across America information

The 1st truck will be delivering wreaths to the cemetery on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 9:00am and two (2) more trucks will delivery of the remaining wreaths on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 8:00am.

Wreaths Across America will start at 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 13, 2025. We advise everyone to arrive early.

We will also have shuttle buses running from the Hilton Garden Hotel in Southpointe to the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies starting at 9:00am on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

Removal of the wreaths will be Saturday, January 24, 2026.
