✨Volunteering with Wreaths Across America✨

This past Tuesday, December 10, 2024, MSU Pittsburgh and RO Pittsburgh came together with amazing volunteers from our community to support Wreaths Across America

Together we unloaded 17,300 wreaths and helped prepare the National Cemetary of the Alleghenies for the upcoming wreath laying ceremony this Saturday, December 14, 2024. It was an honor to give back and ensure that fallen hero’s are remembered 🇺🇸

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who made this day possible. Let’s continue to spread the spirit of giving and remembrance this Holiday Season ! ✨

On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, MSU Pittsburgh and members from Recruiting Office Pittsburgh, had the honor of volunteering at the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank during *senior week*. Together with incredible volunteers from around the area, we helped package 1,000 boxes of food for local senior citizens in need this holiday season

Our journey with Mitch started back in the summer of 2022 when he interned with us at MSU Pittsburgh. During his time here, Mitch dived into the world of the U.S. Coast Guard, gaining hands-on experience in vessel inspections, investigations, waterways management, facilities inspections, and pollution response. 🚢

We were thrilled when he reached out to us to request his commissioning ceremony at MSU Pittsburgh, and we couldn’t be more excited to support him as he begins this incredible next chapter! 🎓👨‍✈️

Join us in wishing ENS Campbell all the best as he embarks on his Coast Guard career! We can’t wait to see where this journey takes him! 🌟

We are excited to announce that our 2024 Annual Food Drive was a huge success! 🎉

Together we collected 256 lbs of food for The Greater Pittsburgh Community Foodbank to help those in need in our community.

🔴 That’s enough to provide 32 families with a weeks worth of groceries 🛒

🎉 We are thrilled to announce that last week, we received a CG MERITORIOUS UNIT COMMENDATION in recognition of our hard work and dedication over the past year!

Our team conducted over 400 facility and vessel inspections, completed more than 180 marine casualty investigations, responded to over 25 pollution activities, and effectively responded to a challenging 26-barge breakaway due to record high rainfall and prolonged high water conditions.

This achievement reflects our commitment to excellence and teamwork. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to this success—your support and sacrifices made this possible! Here’s to many more achievements ahead!
