Trash and recycling collection is delayed one day the week after Memorial Day. Thursday streets move to Fri. May 29, and Friday streets move to Sat. May 30.

A road closure will occur from approximately 9:55 AM to 11:15 AM on Mon. May 25, 2026, for the South Fayette-Bridgeville Memorial Day parade, which starts at 10 AM.

Washington Pike, near I-79 in South Fayette, will close from Warchol Funeral Home to the Chartiers Street bridge, and Washington Avenue will close in downtown Bridgeville.

During the parade, all traffic will be prohibited from using those roads, entering/exiting local shopping areas, and using the Chartiers Street intersection. Please plan accordingly. Thank you.

From Tues. May 5 through late May, single-lane alternating traffic will occur weekdays from 9 AM to 3 PM on Washington Pike (between Boyce Road and Alpine Road) and on Boyce Road (between Washington Pike and Summit Ridge Drive) in South Fayette for drilling work.

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said crews from JMT, Monaloh Basin Engineers and Wright Traffic Control will conduct work. Flaggers will assist motorists through the work zones. Please use caution and allow extra time on these roads.

Please note South Fayette Township is not involved in this work and is sharing this information as a courtesy.

WM trash collection is on a normal schedule. There is no delay scheduled due to Easter. Pickup is Thurs. April 9 and Fri. April 10 in South Fayette.
