We are ALMOST ready to begin emailing music to those who are interested in performing with the South Fayette Alumni Band in this year's South Fayette Band Festival (to be held on Saturday 9/24) which will be honoring the SEVENTY FIVE YEARS of the high school band's existence!

PLEASE consider joining us! Even if you feel you can no longer play and dance, we are offering other ways for you to participate.

* You can opt in to do the entire festival show with us

* You can choose to only come out onto the field and play the concert number (aka the stand still song) with us

* You can simply march in with us when we enter the stadium enmasse and be recognized with us as former members of the Little Green Machine.

ALL AGES OF ALUMNI are encouraged to join us!

If you no longer have an instrument we will beg, borrow and (quite possibly) steal one for you to use.

Calling ALL South Fayette Band alums!

This year marks the 75th Anniversary of the South Fayette Band and we would like EVERYONE to participate in this years South Fayette Alumni Band at the band festival on Saturday September 24th.

Now, I KNOW you'll have a million excuses including, but not limited to:

* I haven't played my instrument since I left high school (no worries, it's like riding a bike and even if you don't WANT to actually play, we have other ways in which you can still participate)

* I'm too old (we have ACTIVE participants ranging in age from 18-the mid 60's.....if we can do it so can you!)

* I no longer have my instrument / my instrument no longer works (rest assured that we will move Heaven and earth to FIND you an instrument to use)

* I just don't have the time (this is the SEVENTY FIFTH ANNIVERSARY..... and particpating in this will NOT take up you're every waking hour)

There will be numerous ways in which you can be a part of this. You can opt to don the Alumni Band tshirt and a pair of black pants and simply join our parade block as we march down into the stadium......you can choose to do the entire festival show with us.....or you can choose to only join us on the field for our concert number aka the "stand still" song.

Whichever way you want to participate will be welcomed!

We are asking you all to consider joining us for this, whether you graduated in the 50's or are a newly minted 2022 alum.....and many of you have parents and / or children who were also a member of the Little Green Machine so how awesome would it be to have you all on the same field at the same time?!

As you know, lots of planning goes into creating a festival show so please be sure to respond the Ms. Carranza's questions as to your years in band and favorite songs!

One of my all time faves was an exit we did as we "strolled off" the field (ala 1950's dance style) to "Goodnight Sweetheart it's time to go" as well as the recent band's rendition of "These Boots Were Made for Walking".

We can't wait to hear all of your favorites!

Even if you live out of town we'd love for you to sign upand come home that weekend to participate!
