Join the library and our thirteen community partners at our very first ever annual BDL Boo Bash! Come costume ready for trick or treating along our Learning Journey & Circle Drive, a guided haunted hike through the nature preserve, spooky stories around a "campfire" in the youth department, and science experiment demonstrations in our Mad Scientists Lab. We'll even have donuts, c***r, and colorable trick or treat bags while supplies last.

Trick or treating will last 6-7:30PM. The guided spooky hike starts at 6:30 PM. & there will be two experiment demonstrations at 6:15 & 6:45 PM.

We'll see you Thursday, October 15!

This program is rain or shine! we will move the trick or treating inside, in the case of rain.

Teens and adults - did you know that you can pick up a small pumpkin from our adult Information desk, paint, bedazzle, or decorate it (no carving!), and bring it back by October 18? Between October 18 and 31, your pumpkin will be on display and voted on by staff and other patrons. You could be the winner of a gift card to a local Brighton area business. Top 3 pumpkins win!

We are so excited for our first ever Boo Bash this Thursday!
Trick or Treat along the Learning Journey with various community partners, take a haunted hike through the Nature Preserve, and experiment in our Mad Scientist’s Lab. Treats, donuts, c***r, and fun for the whole family. Drop in.

While the MLB playoffs may be in full swing, take a trip to baseball’s past & learn about the House of David baseball teams! This informative program, happening next Wednesday, 10/14 from 7:00pm-8:00pm will give a glimpse into these exhibition teams that played throughout the US & Canada from the 1920s to 1950s. These teams were originally the product of the House of David religious commune from Benton Harbor, MI & were known for their long hair, beards, & their “pepper game” tricks!

Our Local Author Showcase has gotten a glow up!
Join us Sunday, October 18, 2-4pm when we'll welcome 10 local authors and two bookish vendors: Fables&TalesCo and Small Town Alchemy. We'll also have a free book bedazzling station so you can add some bling to your favorite book. Drop in for a fun celebration of books!
