Things are getting pretty spooky around here!

🌱Teens can learn about carnivorous plants and then take one home to keep and care for. Registration is preferred so we can ensure plants for everyone! Call 617-782-6032 to reserve your spot.

🎃On Saturday, join Ms. Allie and Ms. Caroline for our annual Halloween Costume Walk & Party! We'll meet at 11:00 AM on the Brighton Common for a not-so-spooky spooky story before heading down to the Faneuil Branch via Washington Street for some treats.

💀Some recipes are so good you take them to your grave! Luckily, librarian and author Rosie Grant has collected recipes enscribed on headstones for us to recreate and try. Join The Food Group Book Club on Saturday afternoon to taste some treats from beyond.

It's hard to believe that October is already here! We've got plenty of spooky (and not-so-spooky) programs lined up for this month that we hope you will join us for.

🍾Adults! Register to make your own coloring changing potion with Librarian Kris on Thursday, October 8 at 6:00 PM.

🎵Our friends from Little Groove will present an interactive concert for kids ages 0-5 on Friday, October 16 at 10:30 AM. (Schools and daycares, please call ahead!)

🌿Teens can learn all about carnivorous plants--like Venus flytraps--and take one home to keep at our Carnivorous Plant Workshop on Thursday, October 21 at 4:00 PM. Registration is preferred so we can make sure everyone has a plant to take home!

🎃And, of course, October would not be complete without our annual Halloween Costume Walk & Party in partnership with the Faneuil Branch Library! Kids, tweens, and teens of all ages are invited to meet us on the Brighton Common for a themed-story time before we parade down to the Faneuil Branch for a party. No registration required, costumes strongly encouraged!
