We had a great time at the Bay Mills Halloween Party, Trunk or Treat and our Haunted Trail last evening.

Thank you to all of the departments who volunteered. I believe we had over 400 people, not including volunteers!

Thank you to our OCS staff for the set up, clean up and food!

What an incredible opportunity for our Ojibwe Charter School students!

Last week, a group of our high school students had the amazing opportunity to travel to Portland, Oregon, to attend the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) National Conference!

Through our collaboration with the Inter-Tribal Council and the B-WET Grant, our students were able to explore exciting opportunities in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), make meaningful connections, learn from Indigenous professionals, and discover new possibilities for their futures.

For many, if not all, of our students, this was also their very first experience flying on an airplane! From navigating airports to exploring a new city and attending a national conference, this trip was filled with firsts, personal growth, and unforgettable memories.

As a small, rural school, we recognize just how important experiences like these are. Our students deserve opportunities to see the world beyond our community, build confidence, connect with other Indigenous students and professionals, and realize that their dreams have no limits.

A heartfelt thank you to the Inter-Tribal Council and the B-WET Grant for helping make this incredible experience possible. Opportunities like this are about so much more than attending a conference. They are about opening doors, inspiring dreams, and showing our students what is possible.

We are incredibly proud of our students for representing Ojibwe Charter School and our community!
