Danny joined the United States Army when he was 18 years old. After four years of training through Georgetown University Army ROTC, Danny commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Army Reserve - receiving the prestigious Omar Bradley Award for Outstanding Leadership. Shortly after commissioning, Danny attended the Military Intelligence Basic Officer’s Leadership Course in Fort Huachuca, Arizona. In 2016, Danny was selected to serve in a Joint Special Operations Task Force alongside our nation’s most elite military units and intelligence professionals in Afghanistan. Every day, Danny worked relentlessly to target and eliminate threats from foreign terrorists. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for “beyond exceptional” performance in support of over ninety special operations missions. When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, Danny was called to serve on the COVID-19 Crisis Management Team at the Pentagon. While on the Crisis Management Team, Danny worked in the National Military Command Center, which functioned as the nerve center for the military’s efforts to support the civilian healthcare infrastructure to save lives across the country. Between active duty deployments, Danny has spent the majority of his military career stationed with an Army Reserve unit in Bristol Township, just minutes from his home in Bristol Borough. As an attorney, Danny exclusively represents victims in their fight for justice. He knows what it is like to comfort a widow, parents who have lost children, and people who have suffered unimaginable personal tragedy. He frequently represents victims of sexual assault against institutions that turn a blind eye to sexual violence and foster toxic cultures. He proudly represents eighteen survivors of horrific sexual abuse in a lawsuit against a behavioral health facility that was supposed to care for them as children. Danny represents over one hundred Army Veterans in their action against a massive corporation that made hearing protection for Soldiers that the corporation knew was defective. As a result of the corporation’s fraud, countless Soldiers developed hearing loss and tinnitus. Danny was personally issued this hearing protection and suffers from tinnitus. Danny also regularly represents construction workers who were catastrophically injured when corporations put profits ahead of the safety of their own employees. Danny is a proud lifelong Democrat. He is a Bristol Borough homeowner, regular at Crossfit Raid in Bensalem, and a diehard Bruce Springsteen fan.

I joined our office in traveling to honor fallen Philadelphia Police Officer Shane Seiber, who died in the line of duty on 10/10/26.

We brought our newest deputies so they could grasp the weight of this profession and see how law enforcement and the community come together in times of loss.

Rest in peace, Officer Seiber, and may God bless the Seiber Family.

As a veteran, law enforcement leader, and responsible gun owner, I take fi***rm safety seriously.

I just participated in a safe fi***rm handling and storage expo in Northampton. My office was there to give out free gun locks, and I gave tutorials to our neighbors on how to use them.

Just a friendly reminder that if you own a fi***rm, you could face criminal or civil liability if you fail to safely store your weapon and someone is hurt as a result.

It should not be necessary for a Sheriff to pledge not to interfere with elections - but unfortunately Sheriffs in California and Kansas have seized hundreds of thousands of ballots under the guise of investigating baseless claims of voter fraud. That is why I feel compelled to join colleagues from across the country in signing this pledge.

The Bucks County Sheriff's Office is resolutely committed to ensuring that every ballot is safely and promptly transferred directly from each polling place to the tabulation center, without interference. We are further committed to stationing personnel throughout the county on Election Day to swiftly respond to requests for support from election officials.

Bucks County election officials and law enforcement are working tirelessly to protect the integrity of this year's midterms. Once again, our elections will be secure.

The Bucks County Sheriff's Office was well represented at this year's Travis Manion Foundation Memorial 5K in Doylestown. Several us ran in full uniform and our vests, as our way of honoring heroes who have given their life in service to their nation and their communities.

Pictured here with Corporal Caroline Roe, who joined our office after serving 24 years in the NYPD. Corporal Roe ran the entire 5K carrying a flag recognizing the 23 colleagues she lost on September 11th, along with 323 firefighters. Also pictured is Deputy Chris Andriana, one of our newest hires, and a fellow Army Veteran.

Teamwork makes the dream work!

Sheriff Siddiq Kamara, Chief Deputy Robert Weber, and Chief of Staff Sarah Charles of the Delaware County Sheriff's Office hosted me and Bucks County Chief Deputy Joe Fuentes at the Delco Courthouse to discuss opportunities for regional collaboration and compare notes on best practices.

We've got something pretty exciting in the works that will improve public safety throughout Southeast PA. Stay tuned!

L'Shana Tova from the Ceisler/Lawless household!

This was a special Yom Kippur for Helen and me. It's been a pretty busy year for each of us, and we really haven't had a day where we could both (mostly) unplug from work and reflect on where we are each falling short and how we can be better people in the coming year.

Also - today was an opportunity to do one of my favorite things: cook a great meal for my loved ones. On the menu: leg of lamb smoked over oak wood and served with a homemade mint chimichurri and tzatziki, smoked and roasted potatoes cooked in the lamb drippings, and sautéed leeks and peas (Helen's contribution). It was a meal worth fasting for!

25 years ago, first responders from across America sped to Ground Zero to assist in the effort to recover survivors. One of those extraordinarily courageous responders was Deputy Chuck Golder, now a Sergeant in our department and one of my most trusted advisors. Sergeant Golder's selfless service that day continues to inspire new generations of Deputies.

While we remember and honor the responders who made the ultimate sacrifice running into the fire and wreckage to save as many lives as they could, we must also never abandon the emergency personnel who are still suffering from the lasting physical and mental health effects they incurred working at Ground Zero, including cancer, respiratory disease, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

While 25 years may seem like a lifetime ago, some of our most courageous citizens are still suffering and deserve our continued support.

I'm out this Labor Day Saturday at the third annual Veterans Joining Together Event at the Terchon VFW Post in Levittown, which brings in wonderful resources for Veterans throughout Bucks County.

I wanted to highlight one outstanding organization, the Bucks County Su***de Prevention Task Force. The BCSPTF has several really impactful programs that are worth looking into. In particular, they have a dedicated hotline for Veterans; just dial 988 then press 1 or visit holdonyoumatter.org.

I got an early morning lift in with one of Pennsylvania's great young leaders, Rodger Allen.

At just 23 years old, Rodger stepped up to run for school board in one of Pennsylvania's largest school districts. He has already shown remarkable political courage in his first year in office. It's been my honor to support him as he continues to develop as a leader.

That said, I still had to show the young man who's boss 💪🏼

Our office has been getting a lot of questions about my certification status - so to address them all at once, I am happy to report that I am Act 2 certified.

Act 2 is the certification for Sheriffs and Sheriff's Deputies in Pennsylvania. This compares to Act 120, which is the certification for police officers.

Elected Sheriffs who were not previously deputies, like nearly all of my predecessors, are required by law to complete Act 2 certification during their first four-year term prior to being eligible to run for re-election. Rather than wait to the end of my term, I knocked it out early.

I received first-rate instruction in topics including patrol operations, defensive tactics, courthouse security, domestic violence situations, inmate transportation, and other key areas. I attended training at the Sheriff's Academy at Penn State, the Temple University Police Academy, and here in Bucks County. In each location, I participated in, and passed, practical exercises in each educational area. Additionally, I had some training waived based on my prior military, legal, and EMT experience (ex. physical fitness, public speaking, civil law, first aid) - as could be the case for any Deputy or Sheriff.

Pennsylvanians should feel safe knowing each of their certified Deputies goes through rigorous training to handle a wide ranging set of potentially dangerous situations with competence and professionalism.
