🇮🇹✨ One of our favorite Italian traditions is making pizzelles—the delicate, crisp Italian waffle cookies that have been enjoyed for generations. Just look at those beautiful designs! They may look fancy, but we’ll show you how surprisingly easy they are to make.
At our upcoming Adult Italian Cooking Class, you’ll learn to prepare authentic Italian recipes, hear the stories behind the dishes, and take home recipes to recreate the experience in your own kitchen. We’re making Homemade Italian pizza and your own mozzarella cheese! Yum.
There’s something special about gathering around the table, sharing good food, and keeping family traditions alive. Pizzelles are a perfect example—simple ingredients transformed into something beautiful and memorable.

Update: Thanks to all our friends who requested the recipe. We grow our own Rhubarb so we never have a shortage but I understand this time of year it is hard to find. Check your local farmers market! It is Farmer Larry’s favorite!!

These Asparagus, Prosciutto & Gruyère Puffed Pastry Treats were one of the stars of our recent Fern Valley Farm dinners, and it’s easy to see why!
Buttery puff pastry, tender fresh asparagus, savory prosciutto, and rich Gruyère cheese come together for an appetizer that looks fancy but is surprisingly simple to make. Perfect for spring gatherings, brunches, showers, or just because!

What a wonderful month of dinners at the farm! Thank you to everyone who joined us for our May Harvest Dinners. There is something truly special about gathering around a table filled with good food, sharing stories, laughter, and friendships both new and old. Watching conversations unfold, seeing familiar faces return, and welcoming new guests into the Fern Valley Farm family is what makes these evenings so meaningful to us.
We are grateful for your support, your kind words, and the joy you bring to our farm each month. From the appetizers to the final bite of Butter Pecan Praline Cake, we hope you enjoyed every moment as much as we enjoyed hosting you.
As always, Larry and I leave these weekends with full hearts and a deep appreciation for this wonderful community we’ve built together.
