Last night BRS held our annual banquet, and we sure had a lot to celebrate!

To list a few, within the last year, we have gone paramedic level, brought on many new fantastic members, held our first safety day, and much more, all while remaining in service 24/7/365! We also recognized a few members for their outstanding contributions to BRS this year:

Graham Huntington (not pictured) was recognized for 5 years of service

BLS provider of the year: Jeremy Southwell (EMT)
ALS provider of the year: Katya Cavanaugh (Paramedic)

Outstanding contributors:
Maria Bedell, Michelle Shubert (not pictured), and Aly Sanchez for their contributions to Safety Day
Malia Po***ck for her contributions to ongoing BRS grant opportunities!

And last but certainly not least, we recognized Steve Jarvis who is stepping down from our department after 15 years of volunteer service. Over the course of his time at BRS, Steve ran over 10,000 hours, and always put a smile on everyone’s faces. We thank Steve for his incredible dedication to BRS over the years!

And lastly thank you to Hogback Mountain Brewing for being our venue! Cheers to another great year 👏🏼🚑

What is our subscription program?
We recognize the stress that healthcare costs can cause. In an effort to reduce that stress, we have a subscription program available. Our subscribed community members are covered for any amount not paid by insurance up to 25 transports. In other words, you will never see a bill for those first 25 transports. Last year, we had a total of 844 subscribers!

What’s the cost?
A yearly subscription costs $65 (August 31st 2026-August 31st 2027). For an additional $15, you can also get an E911 sign from us to make it easier for us to locate your house, should we ever need to respond.

How do I subscribe?

As fall begins…we’re still remembering our favorite day of the summer- Safety Day!

Not only was safety day an amazing day for the community, but we were so grateful for the proceeds to go towards our funding for a new ambulance! Interested in donating? Please see the QR codes attached 🚑

Today we recognize the 2,977 lives lost- including 343 firefighters, 60 police officers, and countless everyday heroes. We honor their memory and the bravery of all who responded.
