It's with a heavy heart that I inform you of the passing of life-time VFW Member, Robert Lotz.

Bobby had been courageously battling advanced Alzheimer’s disease for the past four years and endured the illness with quiet strength.

We are praying for his family during this difficult time.

Funeral arrangements are following.

On the 25th of this month we will be pulling the winner of the VFW POST 260 50/50 and hoping to reach $8000 to the winner it’s now a little over $7000 I would love to thank all the people that helped us raise this for all the Disabled Veterans that come to our post form St. Albans Veterans Hospital in wheelchairs that fought for your freedom and gave up their own for you we host our Brothers and Sisters about 5 or 6 Times a year to a barbecue and Holiday Dinner donated by US And a new organization to us in Rockaway and a another one or two but nothing from anyone else ( ITS A SHAME ) everyone could help with a small DONATION and I also want to thank our Auxiliary without you we couldn’t have done these I REALLY WISH I COULD HAVE TO THANK ALL THE ORGANIZATIONS but life is life

A couple of great events coming up not to mention the most beautiful sunsets. Come out and enjoy a cold drink with some friends. While supporting our veterans. All monies raised will help build a fishing dock for the veterans to enjoy. See you at the VFW Post 260

The VFW Auxiliary is pleased to present the Continuing Education Scholarship to assist members and their immediate family members who wish to further their education by pursing a college degree or career direction at a vocational/technical school.

Who is Eligible to Apply?
• Applicant must be 21 years of age or older.
• Applicant must be an Auxiliary member (for at least 1 year) OR the child or spouse of an Auxiliary member.

What is the Scholarship Amount?
• Four $1,250 scholarships will be awarded each year, one in each of the four VFW Auxiliary Conferences.

What are the Scholarship Submission Requirements?
Each applicant must:
• Answer all questions on the Continuing Education Scholarship application
• Write a brief essay (no more than 300 words) describing their commitment to their goals and how this scholarship will help them attain these goals.

What is the Application Deadline?
• February 15, 2026
