The Brockton Council on Aging will be hosting Veterans Dental Care Day!
As many veterans face barriers to accessing dental care. This day is dedicated to providing comfortable, convenient care in a supportive community setting.
Open to Veterans and their Spouses, age 60+ in the Brockton Community.
When: Thursday November 5th, 2026
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

→ Please note that a Medical History Consent Form must also be completed prior to participation.

Memorial Day Ceremony: Moved Indoors!
Due to the forecasted rain, the outdoor Memorial Day Parade has been officially cancelled. However, the community observance will still continue inside.

Financial Educational Call for Military Survivors
Financial “Dine and Dial”: Wed 7/15/2026 /Time: 7:00pm (CST). (Financial Educational Call for Military Survivors)
Who: Military Survivors and friends are invited to dial into the next Financial “Dine and Dial” call and have access to some of the popular past calls that were recorded.
What: These calls, held at least quarterly, provide a forum for Military Survivors and friends to ask questions on education tools and to better understand techniques for identity theft minimization, saving and investing, estate planning considerations, tax issues, insurance, potential financial resources, and budgeting concerns in creating financial success and hear from various guest presenters and other peers.
Where: The Call number is (1-605-475-5910; Access Code 7681905 #); the call originates from Ft. Leonard Wood Survivor Outreach Services. (*6 mutes or unmutes the call) and is a joint venture between the financial counselors from the Ft. Leonard Wood SOS program, and other locations.
Why: Many Survivors have asked for assistance in navigating potential resources, including how to better grasp potential projected positive cash flow opportunities and estate planning techniques, milestones, and scholarship programs.

NeighborWorks Housing Solutions will be hosting a two-day Community Assistance Event at The Shaw’s Center, located at 1 Feinberg Way, Brockton MA 02301.
Event Details:

Friday, June 5th 2026 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
All constituents and community members are invited who may benefit from this in-person support.
This event is designed for individuals and families who are behind on rent, mortgage payments, or critical utilities, or who need assistance with housing-related costs. Our team will be on site to provide guidance and help attendees complete the RAFT application, answer questions about current applications, and get folks connected with additional resources and counseling services.
Staff will be available to assist in multiple languages.
This is a valuable opportunity for community members to receive direct support and take meaningful steps toward housing stability. Walk-ins are encouraged- no appointment needed.
