An anonymous donor generously provided supplies for our No-Bake activity at Baker Extended Day. Students followed a written and visual recipe to create Ocean Crabs, practicing their ability to follow directions and sequence steps independently. Additional activities included a crab-themed coloring activity, sensory exploration at the sand table, Play-Doh play, and STEM building challenges, which encouraged creativity, fine motor development, and problem-solving skills.

They also explored their creativity through butterfly painting and bracelet making activities. In addition, students enjoyed hands-on STEM building challenges that encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and imagination. It was a wonderful day filled with learning, creativity, and fun!

Get ready to see engineering in action! Our Grades 3–5 students recently stepped into the roles of junior engineers during an exciting STEM competition designed to bring physics to life. Working in teams, students were challenged to design and build a functional catapult with one goal in mind: launch a mini marshmallow farther than the competition! Using only a handful of simple materials, they collaborated, problem-solved, tested ideas, and refined their designs to maximize distance. This hands-on challenge encouraged creativity, teamwork, critical thinking, and perseverance — all while making learning fun and memorable.
