🇺🇸 WE WILL NEVER FORGET — SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 🇺🇸
Today, Bronson Fire Rescue pauses to remember the 2,977 lives taken on September 11, 2001.
We honor the firefighters who climbed the stairs when others were running down. We honor the law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, military members, airline crews, and other first responders who answered the call.
But today, we also remember the thousands of civilians — mothers, fathers, husbands, wives, sons, daughters, friends, coworkers, and neighbors — who simply began that September morning expecting to return home.
We remember those aboard American Airlines Flight 11, United Airlines Flight 175, American Airlines Flight 77, and United Airlines Flight 93.
We remember those at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
We remember those who rushed toward danger to help strangers, and those whose lives were forever changed by what happened that day.
They came from different backgrounds, held different jobs, and lived different lives. But on September 11, 2001, America mourned them together.
Twenty-five years later, we still remember their names, their sacrifice, their families, and the incredible courage and unity shown in the darkest of moments.
May we never forget all who were lost.
May we never forget those who answered the call.
And may we never forget what it meant to stand together as one nation.
2,977 lives. Countless families. One nation forever changed.
🇺🇸 Never Forgotten. 🇺🇸
