Tonight members of South Country Ambulance participated alongside the Brookhaven Fire Department in a complex Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) training scenario.

This hands-on exercise provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen emergency response skills, teamwork, and coordination between EMS and fire personnel.

Thank you to the Brookhaven Fire Department for including us in this training opportunity and for their continued dedication to preparedness and interagency cooperation!

Congratulations to EMT Savannah Lanzetta on her recent promotion to Wednesday Night Crew Chief!

Savannah has proudly served our department for the past three years and has distinguished herself through her dedication, professionalism, and commitment to patient care. During her time with the department, she earned both our Rookie of the Year and BLS Provider of the Year awards in the same year, in addition to receiving multiple Prehospital Save Awards from Suffolk REMSCO last year.

We are proud to have Savannah as a member of our team and congratulate her on this well deserved promotion. We look forward to seeing all that she will accomplish as she steps into her new role as an officer.

Congratulations, Savannah!

The South Country Ambulance Marine Units were out early this morning deploying on the water at 0500 hours to be prepared on post by 0545 hours for the Smith Point Triathlon. Our units were later met by Mastic Beach Fire Department, Mastic Fire Department and Brookhaven Fire Department’s boats. South Country volunteers worked as part of a combined public safety plan that is in place to ensure our citizens can safely enjoy our county and all it has to offer. All went smoothly and there were no injuries or medical emergencies on the water.

From there we traveled over to the Paddle to the Point race in Bellport to standby in case of an emergency. Great morning for both events!

Congratualtions to all involved 🏊‍♀️ 🌊
