Join us in thanking the Flourish Fund and the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism for supporting a neurodiverse young adult artist and writer in Western Massachusetts.

This grant will help provide stability and reduce stress as they navigate complex healthcare, daily living, and self-advocacy needs while continuing to pursue their creative work with support from MAB Community Services. The artwork featured here was by the grant recipient.

“As I navigate the next season of my life, this support allows me to breathe a little easier and move forward with less stress and greater joy.”

We are grateful for the Foundation’s investment in flexible, person-centered support that helps people thrive.

We’re grateful to The Gibney Family Foundation for a $50,000 grant supporting MABVI’s social service programs, including the Adjustment to Vision Loss Counseling (AC) program, Peer Empowerment Support Groups (PEP), and Volunteer Services Program (VSP).

The Gibney Family Foundation helped launch our AC program, the only peer-led clinical adjustment counseling program in Massachusetts for people who are blind or visually impaired. Their support helps people build daily living skills, pursue healthy aging goals, and live with greater autonomy and confidence.

Since 2011, The Gibney Family Foundation has awarded $581,600 in grants to support MABVI’s mission. We’re deeply thankful for their longstanding partnership and commitment to our community.

We were so glad to represent MAB Community Services at the BV Hub’s Senior Scoop event at Polar Park last Wednesday! 🎓⚾

Senior Scoop brought together high school seniors from across Central Massachusetts to explore career pathways, connect with local organizations, and learn about post-secondary opportunities. Michael’s engagement and willingness to connect with students helped make the event a meaningful and inspiring experience for everyone involved.

Thanks to Michael, for sharing your time, energy, and support with the next generation of talent in our community! We are excited to continue helping young people discover meaningful opportunities right here in our region.

Since 2017, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) Foundation has been a valued partner in MABVI’s Access Technology Training Program. Their latest support will help expand and strengthen the program across multiple Gateway Cities.

This funding will help increase access to technology training for older adults with visual disabilities and provide devices to participants who complete training and demonstrate financial need.

We are grateful for the CTA Foundation’s continued investment in digital access and inclusion.
