The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a community-based, civilian, volunteer program that helps build the public health infrastructure of communities nationwide.
Brookline Medical Reserve Corps is a group of community-based volunteers who assist in promoting healthy living as well as preparing for, responding to, and recovering from emergency events. Each MRC unit is organized and trained to address a wide range of challenges from public health education to disaster response. Become a Community Health Champion for Health Equity in the Town of Brookline! The Brookline Department of Public Health and Human Services (“BDPHHS”), the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Community Relations (ODEICR), and Women Thriving, Inc. have partnered together to run a pilot for the Community Health Champions Initiative. Health Champions is designed to promote health equity and build trust within our communities. Champions are beacons to help connect and encourage their neighbors to access local public health programs and resources.
Participants will:
- Be paid for your time spent in the program
- Receive training to build skills in public health competencies
- Access mentoring
- Help promote local public health events and services within your community
- Participate in project development to meet your community's needs
Please join for an info session on Monday, November 17th from 6:30-7:30 PM on Zoom to learn more about the program and stipend, ask any questions, and get information about applying!

The Diaper Drive is on!!
From babies to seniors, change makes a difference!
