Pictures from the 75th Bookmobile Anniversary Celebration at Linden Park/Gershwin Park on May 16th.

Today, May 16 from 2pm until 4pm the Bookmobile will be at Linden Park in East New York celebrating 75 years of bookmobile service.

New Lots Library was at New Hope Worship Center on Tuesday May 12 conducting programs. In the morning adults enjoyed board games and in the afternoon adults relaxed while coloring. The bookmobile even joined us. We will be back again on Tuesday, May 19.

The Afro-American Historical and Genealogy Society will be hosting a Harlem Genealogy Fair 2026 on Saturday, June 13th at 11:30am. For more information or to register for a free ticket, use the link below.

Join Bookmobile Staff and New Lots Library Staff while the Bookmobile is parked in front of Linden Park on Saturday, May 16 from 2pm-4:15 giving out free cookies to celebrate 75 years of Bookmobile Services. There will also be a balloon artist on site. To receive a free cookie, show your library card or sign-up for a free library card.

Family Summer Celebration and Magic Show

Join us on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at Sankofa Park (816 Livonia Ave) from 1pm until 4pm for a Family Summer Celebration. There will be crafts, facepainting, balloon art, and more. At 3pm there will be a magic show. In case of rain, the event will take place at New Hope Worship Center (817 Livonia Ave).
