P396K The Sid Miller Academy

Today, Citywide Borough Safety Director Tara Coniglio visited P396K Sid Miller Academy to observe our bussing and safety practices, as well as lend a helping hand!

On Friday we hosted a seminar at Main Site for all speech therapists in D75 schools in Brooklyn. This professional development seminar was an end-of-year ASHA CEU-based professional development entitled “Embedding Curriculum-Based Peer Dialogue in the Self-Contained Classroom.” Thank you to Mr. Joseph Kurtz for leading this initiative.

Photos from our Senior Breakfast this past Friday. Our graduating seniors were treated to a wonderful breakfast, music, games, and various activities to say thank you for their hard work. They all had a great time.

Our last New Teacher Academy session took place this past Friday. New teachers enjoyed chilled apple cider, lemonade, and some delicious snacks as they reminisced about the long and challenging journey to becoming a Sid Miller teacher. We congratulate them on their hardworking work.

During our Speech PD today at main site, we ( speech therapists) went to say hello to our 181 students at the Senior Breakfast. Some of our students were thrilled to see us so we took a photo together!
