Community Board 18

Community Board 18 hosted a successful Community Baby Shower on Sunday, May 4th. Thank you to all our supporters and partners - Kings Plaza Canarsie Kiwanis Club - Lt. Governor Mark Pohl, Millennium Development - Director Paul Curiale, PS 276- Principal Jennifer Troman, Council Member Mercedes Narcisse, Boro President Antonio Reynoso and For the Better. Community Board 18 appreciates all the dedicated volunteers who helped make this day a huge success. A special shout-out to Naomi Lehrer for her vision and dedication. Thank you to our members of CB 18's Library and Education Committee - Grace Zwillenberg & Donnamae Crossfield. We also want to thank CB 18's Communication Committee - Julius Stukes, Jr. & Sara Hendrix.

Community Board 18 partnered with District Leader Frank Seddio and Millennium Development for the Community Holiday Lighting at the Ferrazzano Family home on Ave K and East 72nd Street. Thank you, Austin and Family, for lighting the way to a beautiful holiday season. We also want to thank Ms. Kerry from Take A Bow for lending us her talented dancers. Kudos to Saint Bernard School and PS 312 students for their Christmas songs. Feeling the warmth with us was Council Member Mercedes Narcisse and Assembly Member Jaime Williams. You can visit the holiday lights through January 2025.

Community Board 18's Jack-O-Lantern Jamboree was a huge success. Thank you to our sponsors - Hobby Box, Amberstone Tax Prep, Outside The Box, Bical Auto Mall, Millennium Development, MY CPAP and American Debate Team. Over 800 children, parents & grandparents enjoyed a fun filled day.

Kids come to Community Board 18 for a fun day of rides, balloon animals, games, and giveaways and much more.

Community Board 18 members resume general meetings after the summer break.

Community board 18 joined The Glenwood Tenants Association over the weekend for family day. District Manager Sue Ann Partnow handed out bookbags, compliments of Kings Plaza and snacks, compliments of Community Board 18.

THE COMMUNITY BOARD 18 POP-UP BBQ ON SATURDAY, JUNE 29TH WAS FILLED WITH FUN ACTIVITIES FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY.

THERE WERE 3 LEGGED RACES, EGG BALANCING, FACE PAINTING, DANCING AND OF COURSE HOT DOGS, HAMBURGERS, BEVERAGES AND SNACKS.
