We need to build more housing, make it easier to do so, spur population growth, and strengthen our representation in Congress. A more affordable New York means more political power to fight against the far-right.

We celebrated the 60th anniversary of the , and it was an honor to introduce Fred Brathwaite, AKA , who received the Distinguished Artists Award. A pure joy to spend the evening surrounded by the artists and believers who keep this borough alive!

Today we honor all those who served and their memory today.

We joined to celebrate the Freelance Isn’t Free Act. If you’ve done the work, sent the invoice, and waited months for the check, that frustration is real, and the city should have your back. A decade after the Act passed, freelancers are still getting stiffed. We introduced the Freelancers Payment Fund to make sure they get paid on time. Let’s get this done.
