At 10:15am NYCEM participated in the Great Shake Out! Before an earthquake identify a safe space in your home and make a plan where you can cover if an earthquake happens.

When an earthquake comes remember:
1️⃣Drop to the floor
2️⃣Cover your head and neck with your arms
3️⃣Take cover under a solid piece of furniture or next to an interior wall

Do not get in a doorway as this does not provide protection from falling or flying objects. Do not go outside. If you are outside, find and open space away from trees, buildings and powerlines.
