Here are his thoughts about being honored, The Yankees organization, Hard Rock Cafe, and Veteran of the Game LLC.

Dear Mr. Ntellas, Mr. Kokkinakos, the New York Yankees, Willie Randolph, and the Veteran of the Game Team,

Now that I am back home, all I can say is WOW. What an incredible experience. I am still at a loss for words as I reflect on everything that happened during my time in New York.

First, I want to sincerely thank Mr. Ntellas. Your communication, professionalism, and attention throughout this entire process were exceptional. You made every step of this experience special, and I truly appreciate everything you did to make this honor so memorable.

To Christos Kokkinakos and the entire Hard Rock Café team, thank you for everything you do for our veterans. The way you recognize and honor those who have served is an amazing gesture, and I am truly grateful for the hospitality and kindness you showed me.

To our server, thank you for being an exceptional young man. Your attention to detail throughout our meal was phenomenal, and you helped make an already special evening even more enjoyable.

To the New York Yankees, thank you for giving me the experience of a lifetime. From receiving the game ball to the Yankees coin and everything in between, I could not have asked for a more memorable experience. I have been a Yankees fan for a very long time, and being honored at Yankee Stadium is something I will cherish for the rest of my life. From such a historic and iconic organization, I expected nothing less than excellence—and you certainly delivered.

To Willie Randolph, thank you for taking the time to speak with me and for your kind words. That conversation meant more to me than you probably realize. I can honestly say that you are now my second-favorite Yankee behind Don Mattingly, and I will definitely be adding your jersey to my man cave!

To the City of New York, thank you for the incredible amount of love and appreciation you showed me throughout this honor. I will never forget the way I was welcomed and recognized, and I will forever be grateful for the experience.

Finally, to the entire Veteran of the Game organization, there truly are no words that can adequately express how thankful I am for this honor. What you do for our veterans is absolutely amazing. Giving veterans an opportunity to experience something like this—an experience that creates memories that will last a lifetime—is something very special.

It was an absolute honor to represent our veterans and to be recognized as the Veteran of the Game. I will carry the memories from this experience with me for the rest of my life.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for an experience I will never forget.
