We are ringing in the New Year in Missouri with a higher minimum wage! Thank you to nearly 1.5 million Missourians who voted to raise the minimum wage for 677,000 workers. Alexis is a a health care worker at a St. Louis nursing home; she knows first-hand what it’s like to support a family on low wages, and she's seen what higher wages can do to help make ends meet each week. We fought to raise the wage for workers like Alexis.
This year has been a victory for working people across the state. But the fight to strengthen Missouri workers is ongoing. Stay up to date on the wage increase by following Missouri Jobs with Justice on Twitter (@ MOJWJ) and Facebook.
We're excited to ring in the New Year with a new minimum wage, and it's because of the workers, business owners, volunteers and voters like you that we could make it happen.
In solidarity,
