We’re still reveling in the excitement of our 220th anniversary gala, which brought together 420 New Yorkers and raised nearly $2.5 million for our children, youth, and families!

We presented the Champions for Children Award to Catherine Redlich, Rob Horwitz, and the Redlich Horwitz Foundation and the Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton Legacy Award to Jess Dannhauser. Guests were entertained by spectacular performances from former Hamilton cast members Olivia Puckett, Stephanie Umoh, and Morgan Anita Wood, as well as Graham’s Starrz N Motion Cornerstone dance group.

Thank you to the Gala Committee, our Board of Directors, and Graham’s loyal friends and supporters for making this evening a resounding success!

Our youth were educated and inspired as they learned essential skills related to fire and emergency safety! Grateful for our partnership with New York City Fire Department (FDNY).

Congratulations to Graham Board Senior Vice Chair & Chair Emeritus, Georgia Wall Gogel, on receiving an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from Wheaton College Massachusetts! Georgia was honored at Wheaton's 191st Commencement ceremony on Saturday for her advocacy for educational equity and child welfare.

In her speech, she encouraged Wheaton graduates to use their degrees to create positive change: “Systemic change... is the whole purpose of our education. To improve our lives and the lives of those in the world around us.”

Georgia has served on Graham’s Board of Directors for more than 30 years, including 19 years as Board chair. Together with her husband, Don Gogel, she has become a transformative benefactor for Graham’s innovative initiatives. Don and Georgia recently provided a $1 million gift to expand Graham SLAM, which was featured in The Chronicle of Philanthropy. We are grateful for her continued support of Graham’s children, families, and communities!

Our milestone 220th Anniversary Gala is only four days away! We are honoring Graham’s history and one of our founders, Eliza Hamilton, with a live performance by former Hamilton cast members 🌟

Olivia Puckett, who starred as Peggy during Hamilton’s national tour from 2019 to 2021, will be joining us on this special evening. Puckett's Broadway credits include Dear Evan Hansen (Original Broadway Cast), Motown, and All Out.

Our 220th Anniversary Gala is happening next week, on May 19! We will be featuring a special live performance by former cast members of Hamilton to honor one of our founders, Eliza Hamilton.

Morgan Anita Wood, who formerly starred as Eliza, will be joining us! In 2019, Wood debuted in Hamilton during the musical’s limited run in Puerto Rico, performing with creator Lin-Manuel Miranda in support of hurricane relief efforts for the island. She has also understudied all three Schuyler sisters.

We’re counting down the days until this special evening!

Happy Mother’s Day! The leaders who founded Graham 220 years ago were mothers, and we honor their legacy today by supporting mothers and mother figures in our communities.

Last week, we helped celebrate parents-to-be at a community baby shower in the Bronx! More than 350 expecting parents joined together at Bronx Borough Hall to celebrate and learn about helpful parenting resources.

Our teams from O.U.R Place Family Enrichment Center and the Tremont Youth & Family Center enjoyed connecting with both new and familiar faces and sharing Graham’s community resources that are available in the Bronx!
