Last week, we partnered with L’Oréal Mishpachah to host a special day for Holocaust survivors in honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day.

The event brought together survivors for a full day of pampering, starting with a delicious breakfast and followed by personalized beauty and wellness services, including hair styling, nail care, and makeup consultations.

Throughout the day, survivors spent time together talking, laughing, and enjoying a calm, welcoming space designed just for them! The gathering concluded with a L’dor V’dor themed dessert buffet, gift bags, and a shared moment centered on remembrance and community. We’re grateful to everyone who helped make this day meaningful- our amazing JCCGCI staff, the L’Oréal Mishpachah team, and Shabbat Angels for always thinking about how to support survivors & for connecting us🤍

Today, on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we pause to remember the six million Jews who were murdered- and to reflect on what remembrance truly requires of us now.

At JCCGCI, remembrance is not symbolic. It is lived, every single day.

We have the profound privilege of serving Holocaust survivors; listening to their stories, supporting them in their homes, and walking beside them through aging, illness, loneliness, and loss. As one of the largest providers of Holocaust survivor services IN THE WORLD, we are committed to ensuring that thousands of survivors each year can live with dignity, safety, and compassion.

Remembrance must be active. It must teach. It must bear witness. And it must move us to act.

Today, we honor the lives lost. We honor the survivors who endured, rebuilt, and continue to teach us about resilience and humanity. And we reaffirm that “Never Again” is not a phrase, it is a responsibility.

Never again is now.
