Celebrating Over 38 Years, Brooklyn Perinatal Network was established from a community task force to address high infant mortality.

Our purpose is to prevent and reduce infant/maternal illness and death. We provide various services and programs including:
Baby Buggy- Emergency Clothing and Pamper Bank
Sister Friend Program
Advocacy in Public Assistance, Child services
Health Education
Free and Low cost Healthcare Enrollment

May is Preeclampsia Awareness Month
Know the symptoms of : severe headache, swelling in the hands and face, visual issues, nausea and vomiting, stomach or abdomen pain, sudden weight gain, and/or shortness of breath. Preeclampsia can occur in any pregnancy, so ALL moms need to know.

Postpartum preeclampsia can happen up to six weeks postpartum. It's important that women pay attention to specific postpartum symptoms, including severe headache, vision changes, swelling of the hands and face, and especially difficulty breathing.
