60 years of fighting for Sunset Park. Now we’re powering it.
UPROSE just completed NYC’s first community-owned solar. Sunset Park Solar is built. Activation in the coming weeks.
Eight years of organizing. 725 kW. 20% bill savings. $1.05M community wealth.

Thank you Deputy Mayor Julie Su, Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez, Council Member Alexa Aviles, Ian Fischer and every partner who believed in what communities can build.
This is energy democracy. Our hope is to act as a model for every neighbourhood and city to own their energy!
