Wednesday May 24, 2023: Chair of Neighborhood Advisory Board 15, Amber Adler worked with DYCD and fellow board members including Vice Chair Anthony Batista to create a food giveaway and resource event in Southern Brooklyn.

For this “Spring into Health” event, we had 420 rsvp. We expected 200 walk up’s. However- we had over 600 walk ups!!!!

⭐️ We served OVER 1,000 people!!!! ⭐️

This need increase reflects a MAJOR problem with food insecurity and economic uncertainty in southern Brooklyn. This area needs further help and we will look into what else we can offer as a board.
